SIRÉNE PERDUE

semester project

3:18 min, short film, 2022

The person is lying in the forest on a mattress and his face is covered with moss. When the
person wakes up, she spits up water and notices that she is rooted to the limbs. She can only move
with difficulty but slowly manages to stand up. She notices that she is covered in it and does not recognize herself. The more she moves, the more hysterical she becomes. She runs out of the forest, first slowly, then faster, and stumbles.

A white cocoon moves slowly and you can make out a person inside. She continues to dance until she climbs out. Wearing her tulle dress, she completes her transformation to her true self. She is lured by siren song to the water where another siren waits for her. A story about the lost self and self-discovery.
