Starting in a universe after ours. Empty landscapes filled only with sand.
But they move, figures emerge, grow, transform, mutate.
And she is there. She is alone, disoriented, and learning to survive in her new environment, in her new home.
Metamorphosis implies a change in physical form, structure or substance,
especially by supernatural means.
It can be both physical and symbolic.
