Wahlpflichtfach / PraxisseminarThis workshop aimed to give the main perspective and tools to make a competitive grant application. The students were instructed step by step through the narrative structure of a grant application. Additionally, they explored the ways of finding suitable International application calls for projects or artworks. Our focus was on how to write successful applications as well as how the funding bodies work and the decision processes, how to make a focused timeline and realistic budgeting. With sample applications we went through tips and tricks for a successful application. Together, we wrote and worken on applications as well as artist statements.
With 15 years of experience in the curatorial and art management field, Ece Pazarbaşı has realised many projects and received financial support from many funding institutions. In 2015, she has established Berlin Art Grant Clinic, where she helped many artists, curators and NGOs to attain their financial goals for their works, projects and organisations.
